Transportation Guide

Welcome to the TJCAS 2025 at the Building of International Research, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan! We are delighted to have you join us. To ensure a smooth journey to the venue, please find detailed transportation information below.

Conference Venue:

You will most likely arrive thru one of following transportation options:

Option 1: Traveling from Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH)

KHH is conveniently located within Kaohsiung City.

• By Taxi:
  • This is the most direct option. Taxis are available outside the arrival hall.
  • Journey Time: Approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Estimated Fare: Around NT$ 500 - 600. Fares are metered.
  • Recommendation: Show the driver the venue address written in Chinese (provided above) to avoid confusion.

• By Kaohsiung MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) + Taxi/Bus:
  • A more economical option.
  • Step 1 (MRT): Take the Kaohsiung MRT Red Line (R4 Kaohsiung International Airport Station) towards RK1 Gangshan Station. (MRT-Map)
  • Step 2 (Transfer): Transfer at R10/O5 Formosa Boulevard Station to the Orange Line (towards O1 Hamasen Station).
  • Step 3 (Alight): Get off at the terminal station, O1 Hamasen Station. (MRT journey time: approx. 25-30 minutes).
  • Step 4 (Final Leg - Choose one):
    • Taxi from O1 Hamasen Station: Take a short taxi ride (approx. 5-10 minutes, around NT$ 100-150) directly to the Building of International Research on the NSYSU campus. Again, show the Chinese address.
    • Bus from O1 Hamasen Station: Exit Hamasen Station (Exit 2) and find the bus stop. Take Orange 1 (O1) towards NSYSU Administration Building. Alight within the campus and walk to the Building of International Research (please check the campus map upon arrival or ask for directions).

Option 2: Traveling from Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) Zuoying Station:

If you arrive in Kaohsiung via the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) at Zuoying Station, you can reach the conference venue using the following methods:

• By Taxi:
  • Taxis are available outside the THSR Zuoying Station.
  • Inform the driver that you wish to go to National Sun Yat-sen University, specifically the Building of International Research. Having the Chinese address handy is recommended: 高雄市鼓山區蓮海路70號 國立中山大學 國際研究大樓.
  • The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
  • Fare: Expect to pay around NT$ 350-450, but this can vary.

• By Kaohsiung MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) + Taxi/Bus:
  • A convenient option.
  • Step 1 (MRT): At THSR Zuoying Station, follow the signs to transfer to the Kaohsiung MRT Red Line (R16 Zuoying Station). Take the Red Line towards R3 Xiaogang Station. (MRT-Map)
  • Step 2 (Transfer): Transfer at R10/O5 Formosa Boulevard Station to the Orange Line (towards O1 Hamasen Station).
  • Step 3 (Alight): Get off at the terminal station, O1 Hamasen Station. (MRT journey time: approx. 25-30 minutes).
  • Step 4 (Final Leg - Choose one):
